DUTIES: You will be responsible for: (1) The architecture, design, implementation, monitoring, troubleshooting through resolution and support of a global mission critical high transaction state of the art network to include CISCO routers, switches, firewalls, and telecommunication/voice technologies; (2) Maintenance of network security through proper configuration of firewalls, proxies, and VPN devices; (3) Installation of exchange, WAN and Internet connectivity; (4) Proactively striving for achieving 100% uptime through good design, thorough monitoring, careful and consistent change management, and immediate response to any outage; (5) Project management and project delivery; (6) Working with diverse groups, third party vendors and business partners, and a diverse end user audience to the executive level domestically and overseas; (7) Providing after hours support as needed on a rotational basis; (8) Authoring and maintaining accurate system documentation.

REQUIRED:

MUST have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering or a similar technical undergraduate degree.

MUST have at least 3 years as a network engineer in a brokerage/trading/banking environment.

3 years of STRONG/CURRENT CISCO ROUTER and SWITCH design, configuration, installation, troubleshooting through resolution, monitoring, and support to include CISCO 6509 routers.

3 years of STRONG/CURRENT WAN implementation and support to include exchange connectivity and global network support.

1+ years of STRONG/CURRENT firewall experience.

STRONG/CURRENT knowledge of the following protocols: IP, TCP, UDP, ARP, DHCP, DNS, EIGRP, OSPF, PIM, and IGMP.

MUST have multicast design and troubleshooting.

MUST have STRONG/CURRENT network monitoring experience including syslog and SNMP.

MUST have STRONG/CURRENT experience troubleshooting network problems with a protocol analyzer.

MUST be a flexible team player with desire to exceed the expectations of the customer.

MUST have excellent ENGLISH verbal and written communication skills.

MUST be willing to provide off hours support as needed on a rotational basis.

Pluses: CCIE. CCNP. CISCO firewalls. CISCO IP phone. CISCO Call Manager.
