Memorial Day is a day set aside for us to honor those who died so we might enjoy the freedoms we have. This holiday started a long time ago to honor those who died during the Civil War. How later on it was realized that anyone who served and died for their country deserved this honor. Throughout history, whenever our country, its ideals, its principles, its people or its freedom have been threatened the men and women of our armed services would willingly answer the call to serve. Some do not make it back and while we should always have them in our thoughts, and prayers. This is especially true on Memorial Day. So I ask that you all to take a few seconds of silence in honor of these people, to honor these Heroes.
