Moving Up: Promotion Party Ideas for Your Next Company Celebration

Company celebrations are often anything but, and employees sometimes even dread going to them. You want to help employees feel appreciated and to bond and have fun together, but how do you create the right atmosphere? If you find ways to make your employees and any other guests feel like an important part of the event, you're much more likely to make a lasting impression. For your next corporate event, make sure you follow these steps to make your celebration something everyone can enjoy.

Use Name Badges
To break the ice and get other departments mingling, have employees wear their own name badges to help communicate with, and identify each other. You can include their role or department so their positions within the company are appreciated by their peers. You can have company name tags printed by places like Naag Tag Name Tags so you can order in bulk.

Give Away Free Gifts
Provide everything from free food to free branded items, but giving guests something they can keep is a great way to keep your company or product in their minds. Make sure any branded items you give have the company's logo, name, and contact information. Sports items including water bottles, towels, equipment bags, and balls are likely to be put to use and seen by many in the future.
You can also give away toys and trinkets such as key chains, Frisbees, magnets, whistles, puzzles, and balloons. Even adult guests don't use the items, their kids likely will, and may take them around to increase exposure. Purchase more expensive items to raffle off and keep participants excited and attentive. When publicizing the event, be sure to inform possible attendees of the prospect of winning free gifts as this may increase your turnout.

Help Attendees Get Involved
Allowing guests to get involved with activities will make the experience much more enjoyable, and it'll make them more likely to keep the event in their minds and their mouths long afterward. If you have drawings for prizes, give tickets to anyone that shows up. You can also present product demonstrations or have booths for family activities if holding the event outside. Host quizzes or other games and pick participants at random from the crowd. Keeping guests involved will keep them engaged and make for an overall more memorable event.

The purpose of a promotional party is to garner attention for your services or products, but you don't have to come too strong. You also don't want to create an event your employees dread attending. Luckily, you're free to experiment with the theme and style of the event so that it matches well with your brand image. The most important goal is to appeal to your target audience, make guests excited, and create interest in what you have to offer.
