I recruit mainly in EMEA based out of the UK.  High tech start ups are my speciality along with building teams from scratch.  Last year was a fantastic year.  This year less so but still ticking along well enough.  I have never actively marketed my business as clients have always come to me but now after last year's record billings it has occurred to me that I am functioning at about half capacity at most and could easily repeat those billings year on year.  I am therefore interested in expanding.  I am currently putting together a cohesive (hopefully) marketing plan to generate more customers in my special niche area but it also seems sensible to see if there are potentially any partnerships out there.  I have recruited in the US as the time difference going west is not so much of an issue as the other way round - APAC where I have never worked.  I am interested in maybe forging mutually beneficial relationships with other recruiters in other geographies - I have a candidate who is specifically looking for a move from the UK to APAC at present for example.

I have worked with other recruiters before on split fees although 50/50 I find very rarely works as a sufficient motivator (if the other recruiter is busy on working for 100% fees - anf if they aren't busy why not?! - why would they put too much effort into a role only paying 50%) but these things can be worked out.  Actually being able to offer a service across a wide geographical area is a benefit to a recruiter in itself - alongside any extra revenue generated.
