Part 1 of “The ever expanding staffing function” Series!!!

Part 1 of “The ever expanding staffing function” Series!!!

So this is part 1 of the series. Here we are going to focus on the monofunction model also called full lifecycle, and A-Z.

The monofunction model is very simple. 1 staffing professional does it all A-Z; they help with the job description, they source candidates, they screen candidates, they walk them through the interview and hire process and work directly with the client team.

The advantages of this model are:

  1. One person runs it all, no handoffs, lesser chance of things falling through the cracks.
  2. Coming up with matrixes to measure performance is simple as one person has over 50%(see blogs on matrixes) control over every aspect of the SLC.
  3. Less people in the staffing org, there for les overhead.

Disadvantages:

  1. Due to handling the whole lifecycle, you cannot only handle as many openings or clients.
  2. Less objectivity with candidates as you have more of a personal stake in them.
  3. Because one person does it all, they are likely not be be an expert in any one area, but more of a staffing generalist.

Some of the matrixes that can be used to measure success are(these are the best and most common, but there are others(see blog on matrixes):

  1. Hires
  2. Time to Fill
  3. Client Sat
  4. Cost per hire
  5. Interview to offer ratio

Next week we will look at difunction.
