RecruiterGuy.net Gets Social... (and hands out $50 for Xmas!)

RG ConnectedYou knew it would happen sooner or later, right? Well today is the day... and tomorrow... and the next day... and the day after... okay, you get the idea.

RecruiterGuy.net is growing up and becoming more than just a blog - it's getting "social." So why not be part of the fun and help us push the envelope a bit?

Anyone can now use the menu on the right to sign in using their Google account, Yahoo account, AIM ID or any other 3rd party OpenID provider (yes, you can even use your WordPress or LiveJournal URLs as your OpenID) Of course, this is the very simple HOW... so let's cover the WHY.

Connected users are not only logged in to said sites but can also contribute comments, media, and updates with each other. Not to mention show what other great sites they're connected with on their centralized profile page that is automatically created for them.

What Ning did for networking networks - this little item does for networking any sites. So even if you've a Ning site, Facebook page, or Hi5 profile, this neat feature builds upon the functionality and networking of each of these. This plug-in enables any blog or website to provide a quick and easy way to connect in the form of a small widget or sidebar item.

Get ConnectedTo celebrate the greatness, I'm holding a drawing for a $50 Amazon Gift Certificate just in time for Christmas! The only catch is that the member count needs to exceed 50. Given our readership this shouldn't be too difficult - so spread the word! Getting it done is as simple as clicking on the "Join this site" button found on the right of each article.

An additional bonus will come in the features that will be enabled after we clear the 50 mark. So sign up and spread the word. After all, nothing talks more than connected friends... or cash.
