Recruitment Marketing Articles of the Week (6.26.10 to 7.2.10)

Originally posted on the SmashFly Recruitment Marketing Blog.

Here is our weekly feature in which we share the top articles we enjoyed from the past week about recruitment marketing. This week’s topics include Facebook marketing tips, recruiting passive candidates, lessons on strategy & technology, a Twitter Love Story and topics job boards don’t want to talk about.

Here are the articles that interested us this week (in no particular order), enjoy!:

Top 10 Questions Businesses Asked Us About Facebook by Hubspot (@Hubspot)

As I know there are a lot of companies using Facebook to interact with potential candidates, this is a great list of simple Facebook rules to follow as you are trying to build your Talent Network on this social network.

How to Recruit Passive Candidates by Lou Adler (@ERE_net)

Nice piece on what companies can implement to better recruit high quality passive candidates.

Tactics & Technology by Steve Boese (@SteveBoese)

I really like this piece on why technology won’t solve all your problems by itself. Technology can be a great excellerant but only if you identify a strategy that uses it most effectively. Sometimes it’s time to update that old strategy to bring new innovative technologies into the fold.

Twitter: A Love Story – 10 Steps to Making Your Relationship with T... by Kendra Pearson (@KendraPearson)

Most Twitter accounts are inactive. Don’t let this happen to you by following some of the pearls laid out in this piece. I particularly agree with “Make Twitter Part of your Routine”!

What no job boards wants to talk about… by Jeff Dickey-Chasins (@JobBoardDoctor)

Very good piece on common problems job seekers and employers have with job boards. I really like the thought process he goes through with each talking point.

Hope you enjoy the list. If you have any articles I should add to the list feel free to add them to the comments or send me an email at chris@smashfly.com.
