As most of you know I preach “Research, Research, Research”. I believe you should not even start sourcing, go to your intake meeting or pretty much anything without doing some research. The thing is research never stops. Not if you are good any way. Even after you have done your initial research, you will end up seeing things that make you wonder, reading things that make you think. This will lead you to look things up, to find info on things. Guess what that is research. One of the reasons I like starting with a broad search string is so I can do my research on the fly. So I can source and research at the same time. There is always going to be new companies, new jobs, new skills, new technology, and the only way for you to keep up is research. The definition of research is: “the activity of getting information about a subject”. Information, that is knowledge, knowledge is power. It’s a simple philosophy but very true. The more your know the more valuable you are, the more you know the more you are worth. Research should never stop, because when it does learning stops, and no one know everything, there for everyone needs to learn and there for everyone should be doing research, all the time.
