The Purple Squirrel track session of day 2 consisted of 2 presentations, They were Sourcing Utensils by David Nicola, and Source Like a Boss by Beth Theodore.
First up Source like a Boss by Beth Theodore. The gist of this was using job boards, and employer branding. Between Indeed, Monster and Careerbuilder there are over 358 million visitors per month. The gist is job boards still have a place in your sourcing strategy. Next branding, first impressions matter, so step up even with regards to job descriptions etc.
Next up Sourcing Utensils by David Nicola. This one was really good, and to start it off TOOLS TOOLS TOOLS- Sourcehub- Social Talents sourcing tools, Bool- another boolean string bilder, Hiretual- a complete sourcing solution that creates boolean searches, has AI sourcing, finds contact info, find candidate analytics to include salary, likelihood of looking, rankings and much more, Prophet-email finding tool, Hiring Solved- search tool, Relink by relinklabs- a tool to give competitive analysis on jobs, A list of Resume Repositories-CV Fox, Post Job Free, etc., Custom Search Engines with goolge CSE. Lots of tools
