Stopped in to say hello, now I'm once again ready to go off....

Dang it!  I really wish I had a different frame of mind here, but I don't.

Stopped in to see if anything interesting was going on.  Saw quite a few posts with no conversation.  Then I noticed one about Mobile Recruiting.  So I checked it out.  Turned out to be one posted by someone with a title of "Content Marketing Strategist"" - which is a pretty interesting title.  :) She is with a cash-flow factoring company in fact.  Not a recruiting firm.

The article sure seems to be a first-person account of things in the mobile recruiting world....yet I don't see the poster as having a background in recruiting.  Odd, isn't it?So I replied to the post with just 2 questions:  Are you a recruiter? Did you write this?

Lo and behold - my comments are awaiting moderation.

Yes, I'm a crusty old "original" RBC'er.  I know we're a dying breed.....but come on people!!!!!!  What's going on?

Beat me to it.  I was just starting to put the final touch on my new blog called "Top 13 Reasons Why I Keep Forgetting to Log on Recruitingblogs.com".

Here's a hint:

#3  Haven't sobered up yet.

#5  Caught myself randomly reading Amazon ratings.

#9  Arguing about nothing on Facebook in the recruiting groups.

BTW Jerry - Congrats on making #1 on the Popular postings list.

Can't there be a spot for ads and/or promotions? That way we can choose to read them or not.

I will say that when I first found RBC, there was lots of valuable information and members who really helped me as a beginning recruiter. Still find things occasionally, but a lot of those people don't seem to be on much in the same way. But I think RBC can and will be a great site!

Jerry Jerry Jerry! I too remember my late night discussions here, hiding my recruiting addiction from my family and friends.  It's tough to see the old chat room being replicated.  Seems to be soooooooo last decade
