The Madness Behind Recruiting
Caution all would be candidates! When approached by some LinkedIn.com HR members pretending to recruit you.  Be advised that they are not recruiting but rather sourcing. So don’t be taken in by unprofessional inquiries which lead to little conversation followed by a resume request for submission rather than utilizing your LinkedIn Profile and taking the time to speak with you in detail about your previous experience, current desires and compensation package.  (We do after all wish to identify those Low-Payers.)
As a professional within the recruiting industry and candidate, I can attest to improper representation and feel that these “sourcing recruiters” should make their intentions and numbers of submissions known to us.  Be aware that you are not being individually recruited for the given position; but rather a sourced candidate to be “clumped together” with other unknown candidates. These types of “grouping submissions” are in fact lowering your worth and minimizing your talents within your given industry.
You may very well choose to pass.  Any recruiter that has client control will recruit you and generate a face to face meeting with the key decision maker and give you appropriate. and immediate feedback, otherwise it’s more like wasting your time.  Dare to be selective.
Happy Hunting!
