Sometimes a great idea comes out of nowhere and jumps in your lap. You don't recognize it at first as a great idea...then suddenly it HITS YOU. This is great idea! I just never noticed it before.

In recruitment it happens to me all the time. In the strangest places.

How do great recruitment ideas come to you? In a dream? During your commute to work? In the shower? During a bull fight?

Mowing the lawn also works for me...but then when I step in puppy poop; deer droppings or a combination--the reality of paying attention to the terrain blows away any "blue sky" moments.

What also works for me is a good puzzle; joke; movie/TV plot--with an unexpected twist--like what happens on Columbo or Monk; or The Lone Ranger (original)--you just never know when Tonto will save the day. What makes my thought flow (comfort zone) suddenly come to a screeching stop--challenges me to rethink what I presumed, will often bring a EUREKA moment...if that makes sense
