We are more than meets the eye!!

For those of you who think staffing professionals are only people who fill jobs, you are wrong. We really are Evangelists, The face, and pulse of a company. Think about it, we are the first person a potential candidate talks to, we are where they get their first impression of the company from, and as you all know first impressions are the most lasting. You want to know how a company is doing ask the staffing professional, we always know, we have to because we need to know how to evangelize the company the best, so we need to know all. We as staffing professionals bring a lot more to the table then just filling jobs, weather we know it or not. What we really are, is Ambassadors for our companies.

Dean - love this post for one simple reason....so true. As a long time agency recruiter, I always felt I had a large hat rack. Often on any given day I could find myself doing multiple non-recruiting tasks to keep the business running smooth.

Three years ago I made the move in-house and while I mostly find myself recruiting, it does go beyond that in representing my organization. The face, the pulse, the evangelists.....I am the first touching point for a candidate in truly representing our culture. It is a role that I love, but feel most don't get. Through good times and bad times at the end of the day I am an ambassador for my company.

Although my card still reflects Recruiter as my job title.  ; )

Thanks for the post Dean.
