What is happening with .jobs?

Does anyone know what is the latest (current) status of the .jobs domain space please? I just found this:

That looks like an ‘Employers Alliance’ kind of a project more than anything else?

BTW. Is the platform of that Universe.Jobs the same NING as the platform used for this site RecruitingBlogs.com?
