I’ve been in the Talent Management industry for 20 years and I have had the opportunity to work for a third-party agency, I’ve worked in corporate talent acquisition, I’ve been an HR Leader and for the last 10 years, I’ve been delivering Recruitment Process Outsourcing solutions.

All of us have stakeholder groups in this business, don’t we?  Hiring communities, HR partners, candidate talent pools, co-workers and the list goes on.  The one thing that has fueled me, in this industry, is the philosophy - “how can I help you?”.  Some may roll their eyes at the simplicity of the statement, but let’s not forget that we are in (and work with) people, EVERY DAY.  I can assure you, the interaction with people, learning what motivates them, helping them develop, solving a problem, having a problem solved for me,  is how I remain motivated in this business and my passion for this space, simply stated, is about the people.

This is one person’s opinion and perspective, but I’m curious… what motivates you?  Why are you in this business and what keeps you going?

Along the same line as my passion for people, I’m fortunate to work with one of the best collections of talent management and recruitment professionals on the planet.  Our team, Alexander Mann Solutions, is a strong provider of Talent Management solutions, globally and we are continuing our expansion through the Americas.  Fueled by our values; authentic, passionate, distinctive & brave, we deliver for our partners with an intense motivation that is centered around “taking care of people”.

As I wrap up my 2^nd year with Team AMS, we’ve challenged ourselves with spreading our story and experiences, globally, and I’ll be one of the contributors telling our story in the Americas.  Through the 2015 business year, our team will spend more time contributing to Recruiting Blogs as a forum to share, to learn and to discuss our philosophies.  We look forward to learning from you and we hope that we can share information that helps offer a unique perspective on this industry, too.  Cheers- to a strong finish for 2014 and great things to come in 2015.
