Hi Lynnette, I have been recruiting physicians off & on since 2001. We recently did a survey about this very topic among others. I can tell you from my experience in recruiting, (and the survey of hospital staff physician recruiters supports this as well) that primary care is very challenging right now (Fam Med & Internal Med both) and also surgical specialties such as Urology and Orthopedic Surgery are also very tough physician recruiting specialties.
