T'WAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS...TEXAS STYLE

T'was the night before Christmas and all through the house not a creature was stirring...

Hell no they were all running wild.  Every man, woman and child.

The dogs and the kids have created such a clatter that i dashed out of the kitchen to see what was the matter.

The poodle in her glitzy collar has just snagged a slice of ham right off the Christmas platter.

The four year old, who is into sharing, has fed the Great Pyr a half plate of fudge.

In only a few hours we can watch out for "sludge".

The seven year old ,being a pint sized, sneaky ,little punk has managed to open his brother's presents and declared them all junk.

Eldest son ,after a 6 hour drive from Denver, has headed to the barn for a fast shoveling of horse poo , we hope he'll be back and clean before dinner.

It's cold and sunny every kid has a nose that's runny.

The turkey is still frozen solid.

I forgot the rolls so calling every restraunt taking availability polls.

Tenderloin is on the grill, the smoke is fogging the house as it sometimes will.

The stockings are hung by the chimney with care..or they were until the cat decided that batting at one was delightful warfare.

Firewood is wet from a little snow, near the fireplace is not the safest place to go.  It's spitting and hissing making both dogs bark.  Please somebody take the damn dogs to the park.

The table is set, somebody spilled a drink so the potatoes are wet.

Four trips to the store for all the stuff we forgot, thought i was organized...uh not!

I swear every year i won't do this again.

But it's Christmas in Texas so all n' all it's a win win.
