Recruitment Marketing Articles of the Week 3.19.11 to 3.25.11

Here is our weekly feature in which we share the top articles we enjoyed from the past week about recruitment marketing and anything else in the recruiting space. This week we’ll be talking about Charlie Sheen’s social recruiting efforts, traits that make a great recruiter, searching LinkedIn, setting project priorities and this year’s ERE Expo.

Here are the articles our that interested us this week (in no particular order), enjoy!:

Sorry Charlie, A Celebrity Tweeting for an Intern is not Social Rec... by Omowale Casselle (@mysensay)

This post is a little early but I meant to include it last week.  A really nice post on Charlie Sheen’s latest quest for an intern and if it really should be termed social recruiting.

4 Traits that separate great recruiters from a good one by Kevin Wheeler (@KevinWheeler)

Great list.  I agree wholeheartedly on point 4 on technology.  You need to utilize technology effectively to help with your job, not to do your job.

LinkedIn’s Dark Matter – Undiscovered Profiles by Glen Cathey (@GlenCathey)

Interesting take on sourcing via LinkedIn and the importance of returning the right / best results in your searches.

Good, Fast or Cheap – Pick Two by Sharlyn Lauby (@Sharlyn_Lauby)

Great post on the trade-off associated with projects and work.  If you could pick two attributes for a deliverable on a project would it be Good, Fast or Cheap?

2011 Recruiting Excellence Award Winners by ERE Expo (@ERE_net)

Congrats to all the winners at this year’s ERE Expo.  If you want to follow the action, the Twitter buzz is happening via the hashtag #EREExpo.

Hope you enjoy the list.  If you have any articles I should add to the list feel free to add them to the comments or send me an email at chris@smashfly.com or follow us on Twitter @smashfly.
