MSS Group Security Product Manager
Location: Alexandria, VA

We are looking for a senior security services product manager to join an entrepreneurial team focused on providing industry best security services to enterprises. This is an opportunity to lead existing and new innovative services. The Senior Security Product Manager will interface and align with corresponding cross-functional teams and will act as key advocate and subject matter expert for any matter relating to security service operations or common customer needs.
Major responsibilities include:
Drive strategy, business case/justification, and product/market requirements definition for security services initiatives on existing and new lines of business. The current lines of business contribute over $50m/yr. revenue, growing 20%.
Develop and be owner of the service Go-To-Market (GTM) plan and deliver compelling positioning, materials, launches, trainings, and distinctive programs. Coordinate GTM with Product Marketing peers and Licensed Product PM teams.
Perform as PM service leader and advocate internally (cross-functionally) and externally ( to field sales, partner and vendor organizations) to drive services delivery success. Own service market success metrics and measurement.
Partnering with other company and third-party product teams and constituencies to define innovative, market-leading solutions and to provide support for any matter relating to service delivery or customer needs
Lead cross-functional teams to achieve desired outcomes thru perserverance, customer/market advocacy, and subject matter expertise (SME).
Be detail oriented to accurately and concisely portray service feature needs to MSS Engineering and Development organizations. Lead feature negotiations.
Seek and research market needs/feedback on new services from field sales, partners, customers, and industry thought leaders.
Perform as key spokesperson / SME for press/analyst briefings, customer SOC visits, RFP response, conference presentation, customer/prospect sales calls, etc.. Be proficient representing service areas and researching requirements.
Develop and document customer use cases to drive overall service feature set. Identify product integration opportunities with consulting, licensed product, and other Company units.
Develop and update competitive strategies for competitive and differentiators for internal Sales and PM use.
Interface at senior levels organizationally to inform of service progress, drive rapid checkpoint (PLC) completion, negotiate business terms, and coordinate resources.

We are looking for a senior candidate. The successful candidate must have 5 years minimum (greater is preferred) prior experience in a lead PM role (and 8-10+ years total industry experience) within a Security Services or Security Software/Hardware company (prefer MSSP PM) and have led successful product launches, managed offerings contributing revenues exceeding $10m/yr., defined and executed go-to-market plans, and performed as subject matter expert (SME) for assigned initiatives.
They must have demonstrated program or product management leadership in complex, cross-functional organizations and must possess excellent written and oral communications skills; presentation skills; ability to understand and think strategically about customer needs; demonstrate leadership skills and ability to directly engage with and communicate with members of a large cross -functional team. BA/BS (or equivalent) is required. MBA or advance degree preferred. US citizens-only willing to locate/work near Alexandria, VA. (Washington, DC area).
