Just Cause

I rarely talk about Broadbean here on Bonus Track, but I feel this is an appropriate time to do so.

Our U.S. Client Services Manager, Dawn Benefiel, is a three-year breast cancer survivor. We are proud of her at the Bean and very happy to support Breast Cancer Awareness in any way that we can.

A local chapter of the Soroptomists invited us to participate in "Bras for a Cause" and we were more than happy to do so. Individuals and organizations were invited to decorate a bra to raise awareness and celebrate survivorship. All week long, a breast form has been hanging around my office and the Broadbean women have been cooking up ideas of how to decorate it for presentation.

We came up with a name, "Bra-Bean" and spent yesterday late afternoon putting together our entry that started with a hot pink bra base. I'd like to thank our CEO, Mr. Kelly Robinson for his support as we moved forward with this project. With pink feathers, beads, and ribbons all around the office, we have raised awareness in our own little neck of the woods.

As we watch the economy slowly improve, it's a good time to give back in any way that we can. Support a just cause in your neck of the woods. And thanks Dawn for reminding Broadbean about how lucky we are!
