Hello,
Does anyone have any recommendations for a low cost ATS system? I am a one man show and need to keep my costs as low as possible for the next year. Something that allows me to access my database from my desk top and lap top remotely would be ideal. So far I have heard of Catsone, zohorecruit, CBizone, any others? I would like to stay under $70 a month if possible.
Thanks!

How about SmartRecruiters? Hard to not at least look at free.....
Perhaps other RBC members can weigh in with other options and/or their experience with SmartRecruiters, but I played around with it a bit and it might fit your need for the time being.

Hi Joel,
This is Louie at CATS. We have spoke a few times while getting you set up on our professional trial and while you were using our free service. We would love to have you on board with the professional system but certainly encourage you to shop around. Let me know if I can extend your trial while you make your comparisons and I would be interested to know what you find.
The right solution should be able to save you enough time and energy to pay for itself, it's just a matter of finding which system has the tools you need. Be sure to join our weekly webinars and give me a shout if there's anything I can help with.
Hi Louis,
Thanks, for touching base, its good to know you are actively involved with the recruiting community. I have enjoyed using Catzone, I might take you up on your offer of extension.

Now that Software as a Service models are growing there is an increasing number of affordable Applicant Tracking Systems for small to mid-sized businesses.
SaaS is a great option because there is no need to download software, have IT set it up, or to have maintenance. Additionally, the SaaS ATS software systems are typically designed to be easy to use for non-technical HR managers and recruiters and require only a short period of time to get up and running. From a cost standpoint, the costs are affordable and with many vendors there is no long-term commitment so, if you are not happy, you can easily switch vendors.
One alternative you should consider is the ATS our company offers, ApplicantStack, www.applicantstack.com. Pricing starts at $65 per month for small businesses like yours, the product has hundreds of loyal users and has been in the market since 2007.
It's easy and low risk to see if it's right for you. You can watch a demo for free and sign-up for a free 30-day trial. This allows you to learn about ATS systems in general, and if you like our system, it's very easy to convert your trial offer into an affordable monthly paid subscription. As a result of this easy way to get started, the majority of small businesses that watch the demo and experience the free trial end up becoming customers.
Best of luck in getting automated with your applicant tracking and online recruiting efforts.
Joel,
We use Akken www.akken.com - affordable, clean, easy, intuitive and effective! They even have back office capabilities. Let me know if you would like more details, I'm happy to share them with you.
Hi Joel, Are you an Independent Headhunter? If so, I like Salesforce. While not a true ATS, I've used to it keep track of my candidates, submittals, and opportunities. However, the only trouble with it is, applicants can't directly upload their info. I have an admin do it for me. It links up with Outlooks so I can track all of my correspondence there. Just an idea!

Hi Jeff, How do you like Zoho recruit and do your hiring managers like it? I think it looks pretty easy to use but would love some inside scoop :)
Thank you!
