Does anyone know of engineering list and where to get them? I have heard that you can buy a list of all PE in a state but my assistant is struggling to locate this. Any suggestions?

I have never heard of that, I imagine since the state administers the PE examine, it is possible. Do you have a local Engineering Society, that may be a great place to start, see if you can get their member list.
Did you find a list?

Most states have lists of Professional Engineers through the licensing department on the state's website. It takes some digging, but it's a free list.

Any luck on finding any list - any direction/help you can send out - much appreciated!

Last year I was able to find a list of recent PE graduates through the states licensing board.
As mentioned below most states have an area on their site to verify licenses. Here is an example... http://sos.georgia.gov/plb/
