Looks great - I might have to wait till early part of next week, but hearing very good things.

I saw it today.  I was attentive but not at the edge of my seat.  Brad Pitt really nailed the Billy Beane character and of course, Phillip Seymour Hoffman got Art Howe down.  But, it was fairly documentary style (without being truthful).

If you're a baseball fan, you should see it but it won't replace the Natural or Field of Dreams in your library.

Bill did you happen to see the article from Fast Company - 3 Lessons Every Manager Can Learn From "Moneyball" ?

I like the points made and how they relate back to the film, but not sure I agree fully with his assessment of Recruiters.

Like scouts, recruiters are tasked with assessing talent for their organizations. And like scouts, recruiters often rely too heavily on a particular pedigree or candidate profile when making hiring decisions. They look to fill job descriptions instead of assessing capabilities and potential--and that’s often a deathblow for career changers.

At least not how I operate.

I agree partly that pedigree certainly gets the candidate in the door. And that's what we are trying to do. But we are more like talent agents than scouts.
