I know this probably gets asked alot on here. I'm just one of those people that believes you will never know unless you try. So I was wondering if there are someone out there that doesn't mind sharing general information or mentoring someone. I have worked in the staffing and recruiting arena for a little more than 5 years before going back into the IT industry and working.

It has been about 3 years since I actually worked as a recruiter. Ive tried to keep up with the trends and statistics through twitter and staffingnews.com and other areas to keep myself engaged. But it still doesn't beat having the hands on knowledge of day to day recruiting IMHO. So thats why I felt compelled to find someone to mentor me along the way

Now I have come to a area in my life where im ready to take the next step in my career by becoming a business owner. This is something I have always dreamed of and my heart has always been in recruiting. I guess its just the good feeling of helping someone find that dream job or just generally putting people back to work.

The reason I would like a mentor is I don't know everything there is to know about this industry. I only worked in one side of it that was the recruiting side. You still have the financial side, sales side and other areas that really make it all work and come together. I'm not asking for ways to do everything but just someone to bound ideas off of and maybe get pointed in the right direction.

Thank you Maria. That is definitely my goal. I plan to go live and start offering services March 14th. SO I am trying to sponge up and much info as possible and get good policies and procedures in place.

Hey George,

I started my career in recruiting in the 90's and left the industry, only to return in 2008.  I had to re-learn the whole recruiting industry.  Everything had changed.  I have never been a business owner, but would be happy to chat with you about recent trends etc.  512-970-8161.
