Recently our firm seceded from MRI. We are looking for some reliable partners for split placement and we are considering Top Echelon. If you are a member of Top Echelon or have been in the past, I would appreciate any feedback that you could provide. Also, are there any organizations in the Top Echelon niche that we should investigate?

Hi Scott, I know that they are one of the few that has over proven itself as a split network that generates splits. They play by the "But for rule" and it is respected throughout the network. It's a good rule to do business by. It's not free and I believe that because of the cost, it sets an expectation that people will use it and work it.
As Slouch indicated, they have been around a while. I did successfully use them years ago on a few splits. At that time I still had to network within the TopEchelon system, but most of the people were quite focused on doing business, so that was very positive. By networking I mean the candidates and/or jobs did not just fall in my lap, but the networking effort was very easy because you are 'in the club'. Good luck!
Hi Scott:

I'm not really familiar with Top Echelon... but have you looked at NPA? www.npaworldwide.com. I recently joined NPA, and have had great success so far. If you would like more information, or to talk about my experiences, please feel freee to reach out to me... jscott@hireeffect.com.

I would like to know more about Top Echelon myself and how successful people have been using it.

Regards, Chris Hofstetter/CTH Corp.

We do not belong, but several recruiters I know (and have worked splits with) are members and seem very happy with it. The monthly cost and network fee per placement seem reasonable for that sort of service. I do not know exactly how they vet the members or monitor their "Ethics Enforcement" and "Policy Handbook" rules.

Most of our most successful split partners are people we have just "met" over the years in various ways and we have not had many issues regarding getting paid, etc. It's pretty easy to see if the styles jive and work well together.
