A great deal of that time was spent sourcing and hiring (without the benefit of budget to utilize outside recruitment firms). I now have my own company specializing in technical placements, HR outsourcing and PR/Marketing consulting. I'm hoping that this group, and others I belong to, will connect me with others for collaborative placements as well as network with others to share ideas. How about you?

One of the benefits I see is the opportunity to learn about recruiters in other parts of the country so when I need to partner with another recruiter on a search or just directly refer a candidate or client, I feel confident doing so. Conversely, I hope to establish a reputation that wil make people in other states (or countries) feel comfortable either referring people to me or doing split deals where appropriate.
