One of our State clients is looking for a hacker...someone that can come in and try everything they can to hack into their system. Don't need security analyst....need a true professional computer system hacker!! Know anyone or a good place to recruit one....i mean besides jail? :)

No doubt Sandra.
Curious though Holli - what is this worth to your state client (what are they paying?) and what are they trying to accomplish? Do they want their vulnerabilities exposed? Smart.
I'm actually finding people with CEH - Certified Ethical Hacker certifications that are true Penetration Testers. They have Secret Security Clearances. Not sure on the pay, it is an RFP.
Probably but if hired can't work 40 hours weeks. Repeal those dang child labor laws!

Holli, most hacker groups have BBs where you can ask the question. But be careful how you ask the question - and as sexist as this sounds, post a picture of yourself with your question. Some may not like to hear this but it's the reality...

Check out the SANS Institute - contact the people who teach here.

Check out the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium and poke around a bit.

But read this first ;)

Tell them to offer a reward to anyone who can hack their system and document how it was done. Hackers would need to sign up online to eligible for the reward so they know who they are. Some 12 year old will probably win it. :)
Thanks Steve! I'll give it a shot! :)
Here - nice...
Hi,

This is a wonderful opinion. The things mentioned are unanimous and needs to be appreciated by everyone.

Holli;
Most hackers (ethical or otherwise) utilize open source for their most dastardly deeds.
Some basic research on google will yield enough sites to start you off, just focus on open source tools/software.
Good Luck
