I have read through the various forums that recommend you do not include a photo with a resume and I agree 100%.

I have started to create a personal career website, and include the Internet address on my cover pages and resumes. My question is what about posting several photos on my website.

I've heard that typically most people just post a head shot with the exception of actors and other people whose looks are part of their job. I am interested in pursuing a career in pharmaceutical sales and have been told that being attractive is certainly a plus since 90% of the clients that I will deal with are men.

I do not expect to get or keep a career in pharmaceutical sales of just by being attractive; certainly you need to have the skills and intelligence to manage that type of career. Still as politically incorrect as it might be, being attractive does help with sales.

I welcome all comments and suggestions; I'm starting out in the work force after 18 years at one company so any other suggestions or recommendations would be welcome as well.

I completely agree with you. I'd go with a high-quality business outfit shot; that's how you'll be calling on your clients, correct? Might as well show "This is how I will appear to YOUR customers" etc.
Put pictures up if you want but I really don't think it's as big of a deal as you're making out.

Given you're looking for a sales role I'd suggest, revenue figures, targets you've broken etc will make the biggest difference.

If you can prove you can make sales then who cares what you look like?
You know, I actually 'sort of' disagree with all the other comments. I think that by adding a photo it can make things a little more personal.

Even if they are photo's of something like a briefcase, hands shaking, etc. I think it can add to the general appeal to the web page. If you have reservations about adding your own photo, but would like something to add to the appeal to the site, you can find royalty free photos easily.

I personally do not have a photo of myself on my website. I do not want to be judged on my appearance.
