I think I have heard them all until a candidate called me the day before he was going to start to tell me he was boarding a flight to go and get married. When I somewhat recovered from the shock I asked WHY he didn't tell me. He actually told me he was hoping if he had new job the families would let him put off the wedding AGAIN for another year.
I am happy to report he has been happily married for a number of years now and still working at my clients site. Oh and I now ask all my candidates if they need to attend any weddings :-)
