I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who is recruiting older workers and retirees mostly for part-time, temporary or project based assignments.

Some employers I have worked with have found this cost effective as they usually do not have to pay for benefits. Others have said there is less cost of training and less absenteeism.

Any comments as to the advantages and disadvantages would be appreciated as I am giving a presentation on this subject next month and need as much input as possible.
