iOS app Helps Identify Companies That Have Announced Plans to Hire

I built Hidden Jobs App for job seekers so they could easily discover hidden job leads. But a funny thing happened on the way to the app store. Recruiters and sales people started to install it and use it for lead generation.

They realized its a great tool to help their teams find employers who are hiring. In fact one of the sales execs from Indeed.com gave it to his sales reps to source new leads.

Version 2.0 is now in the app store and works with iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. There's no Android version yet but the website is mobile friendly and looks great on any Android screen.

Developed by CareerCloud.com, a new social recruiting startup, the app has already tracked more than 2.5 million new jobs since it launched in the spring of 2011.

It aggregates online articles and news items about companies that will be adding jobs, either immediately or in the near future. Then it catalogs them by grabbing the number of jobs mentioned and the state they’ll be created in. Users can read all the articles without leaving the app.

Here's whats new in the new version;

  • Push Alerts: sign up for up to (5) states and get notified as soon as new job leads are added
  • Google button:  a handy button that will automatically search Google for jobs at that company
  • Share: email any article to yourself or a friend
