Sourcing Software ... what's the best ie. egrabber, talenthook, diver etc?

I'm trying to decide on the best sourcing software and have over the past few months done demo's on egrabber, talenthook, broadlook diver and was hoping to get users perspective on pro's and con's. Admittingly the diver tool requires a lot of experience with search strings, cheat sheets and other hands on tools which I don't have so it maybe too much work for me to learn. I do have monster/careerbuilder access so to be able to use one of the tools like talenthook does have its pro's but not sure how good of a tool it is to source the net and social sites. Just wondering if I am missing another software tool and what others would consider to be the best application? Thanks for the help.

Hi Jason

We at eGrabber make tools that are easy to use out of the box.
They also allow expert users to add their own scripts and customize the products for their needs.

Our product development goal is "Make it Easy to Use. Easy to Teach"
We cater for the masses. Which means our prices are always going to be very competitive.
We have also been in business for 12+ years.

I feel our ResumeFinder/ResumeGrabber combination is the best sourcing tool combination that exists for a recruiter. It packs a lot of punch at a small value.

Send me an email if you have any other questions.

Karen,

Glad you asked, and you are not the first person to ask me a question like this. I have good relationships with several vendors, am using a number of products as a sourcer, and try to see demos of most interesting sourcing tools that come out. I have no affiliation with any vendor and plan it to remain this way. My recommendations come from my personal experience. I think this way is better for my (pretty large) audience and for myself as well.

Irina are you associated with broadlook in anyway? please advise - not trying to be rude, but have noticed that your name comes up with broadlook pretty frequently, and would appreciate knowing if you are affiliated, or if your recommendations are based upon personal use and not because of affiliation or association
Well I' m not not familiar with the above mentioned tools but what i would suggest you is CVplus Recruitment Software .Give it a try and for free online demo and further details see www.swiftpro.com . I hope you like it
Check out Data Frenzy and SourcePoint also.
As a researcher and sourcer, I have tried a lot of tools as many of you have and it is unfortunate that there is no silver bullet out there, but eGrabber does a very good job of simplifying the boolean process and takes the hard work out of developing search strings. It can net strong results when used properly. I also use the Broadlook tools and find they still require a lot of messaging. Talent Hook is a good tool combined with an ATS. At the end of the day, there are many tools available and you need to learn how best to use what tools for whatever purpose so building a tool kit is a necessity.
Give http://www.inparser.net a try it is great if you use Linkedin to source candidates.
PD eGrabber without a doubt!!! It is the only software using SEMANTICS b/c that is Pure Discovery's specialty! eGrabber without it doesn't compare - it's all about semantics!

While consulting with companies on the most effective and efficient method of sourcing candidates, I recently stumbled on this software. It’s AMAZING! As owner of PARADIGM, I never intended to get involved with software; but once I realized how much more effective it was at identifying candidates, I wanted to share it with everyone in my network. We all know that the most time intensive part of a Recruiters job is finding the right candidate. And Rifle hunting is always more effective than using a shotgun.

PD eGrabber’s Resume Grabber acts as a super search engine that creates search queries and then combs every portal on the internet – Linkedin, Craigslist, job boards, Google, Yahoo, etc. You input the title you are searching for, it populates a customizable list of words that are the definition of what your targeted position is. So, if you input “Financial Analyst”, the list will include “financial analysis”, “modeling”, “ad hoc” “financial statement analysis”, “macros”, “MBA”, etc. The software allows you to add or subtract words from the list, as well as select which ones are more important (or required). You click “Search” and within minutes PDeGrabber returns a list of candidates in a neat Excel file with all of the candidates’ contact information separated into cells. You can then download all of the resumes (or only the ones you select) directly into your database.

Why this is so great?
• With only a few clicks, you can search every portal on the internet rather than having to log into each job board separately.
• PD eGrabber’s semantic search technology allows you to source job seekers (both active and passive) to find exact matches. If you input “Financial Analyst”, you’ll get a true “Financial Analyst” rather than a bank teller who has added key words to his/her resume.
• Searches can be fully customized for your company and can be saved for future use.
• The boss will be amazed at your ability to identify perfect candidates for his/her hiring need almost immediately

Please join me today at 4:30pm for a quick 15 minute demonstration of how this software can save you both time and money. As the economy rebounds, hiring will increase – and there’s nothing worse than scrambling for candidates to fill a dozen urgent new openings at the same time!

Send me an email and I’ll send you the Webex information to see the demonstration.

Happy Sourcing!

PD eGrabber is the best NO DOUBT! Pure Discovery has partnered with eGrabber to use SEMANTICS to ensure that your results are accurate. It's all about SEMANTICS! I love what it does for my recruiting firm!
