I lost ALL my manhood yesterday. Every last shred of it wiped away when my wife forced me to list my stereo speakers on Craigslist. No more relics from Independent Michael Glenn. Everything I owned is gone. All that is left are sweet memories of rocking out to Led Zepplin, AC/DC and GnR.

And like the old days of my bachelorhood are gone, so are the days of Mad Men Agency Recruiters. Mad Men Agency Recruiters you ask? A few years ago, Mad Men Agency Recruiters were Recruiters that wore expensive suits, drove nice cars, and ate lunch at The Palm everyday.

I have broken down the progression of the Mad Men Agency Recruiter over the years.

****The link above provides the table that shows Mad Men Agency Recruiters.

What are some the "things" you had in 1999 and 2005 that defined you as a Mad Men Recruiter?

What a fun post! We were just talking about this the other day too, about how in 1999 we worked in Boston downtown and were on a mission to find the best baked stuffed lobster in the city. Basically an excuse to eat out constantly, drink expensive wine and compare lobster stuffing. :) Good times. Now we work in Plymouth and eat more salads (and tacos, lots of tacos, am on my way to pick up my lunch order now.) Although we are having a pretty good month, so there may a baked stuffed lobster in near future.... The good news is we are seeing a pickup, much busier now than a few months ago.
Being able to use the F word in the office, around those you felt "safe" with and not worry about getting into trouble because someone you used to feel "safe" with became "right" the night before and is now offended. Or.............thinking a faxed resume was a "cool" thing........and "voice mail" ruined your life because when you got up to go to the rest room and came back 3 minutes later there were 25 new messages.......and didn't we say NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE in the posting!!!!!!!! Or having to talk management into letting you have a work AOL account because you were now doing recruiting via the internet and they didn't know what the internet was! And if they did, how we could use it as a recruiting tool didn't quite register with them! Geez......those were the days.
