I am looking to network with recruiters to broaden my industry contacts, share ideas and gain insights into best practices. In addition, I am also interested to understand if there are opportunities where my company can provide solutions and services.

By way of introduction:

I am relatively new to the discipline of recruiting-

However, prior to creating Impera in 2013 (5 months ago), I was an executive in the apparel industry for over 25 years. Most recently, I served as Vice President of Product Development for Dick’s Sporting Goods in Pittsburgh, Vice President of Global Sourcing at New York & Company in NYC and Vice President of Product Development for Tillsonburg, Inc. in Hong Kong.

I believe that my former leadership roles and experience as a hiring manager give me important insight into the needs of my clients.

“I have had the pleasure of working with John on a number of recruiting engagements and he is known among my team as "the guy who can get it done". John loves a challenge and has great success finding the needle in a hay stack candidates that other recruiters have given up on trying to find. John builds strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers that make him a true partner in the process ensuring a high touch experience on both sides. For anyone considering Johns work on a recruiting project, you won’t have to worry about him -- just point John in the direction you want him to go in and it will get done.”

Discussion sounds like a great idea Stephanie. Is Linked In the only place to find good quality candidates these days without having to review 300 crap CV's to find 1 decent CV?
