According to the organisation, the government should encourage the recruitment of young people by UK firms, which could be achieved with increased support for apprenticeships and graduate schemes.
Company chief executive Keith Potts said: "The government needs to encourage companies to invest in junior staff, who can then grow with the company and provide a return on investment as their talent develops.
"Support for young workers entering the jobs market is crucial as looking for a job without success can quickly become a demoralising process and lead to a long term cycle of unemployment."
His comments were made in the wake of the latest Recruitment and Employment Confederation and KPMG Report on Jobs, which revealed that permanent job placements increased at a slower pace in June.…
