Comment on: Blog Post 'The Problem with Recruiters!': details. They will do anything necessary to simply make a placement and invoice their customer. They don’t have their customer’s best interests at heart. His only concern is getting paid and getting past the guarantee period! That statement focuses on the recruiters and their actions. After being excoriated by professional contingent recruiters who chose not to operate in this fashion you then try to back pedal and say the issue is with the contingency search model. That is not, nor has it ever been the case. The contingency model is just fine when carried out by professional who do have their client’s best interest in mind. Does the contingency model allow for some resume brokers to exist who only care about getting paid.... Of course. Every profession has their own ambulance chasers. You continue to fail to understand how professional contingent recruiters operate and the sad thing is you are continuing to comment on a business model that you obviously do not understand. Until you understand how to reconcile the contingent business model with being a professional I suggest you read more and learn about the business in which you are supposedly an "expert." Comment on: Blog Post 'Women Dressing for Success in the Workplace': dress the way they do. So this thing sounded like something out of the 80's. Dont dress like a model. A model what? Some of the clasiest dressers in the world of work dress like high fashion models. Better to have said, don't dress like you are on the way to the bar and don't want to change clothes. But then maybe i know a different kind of "model" than you do. Better to have said, Don't dress like a frump. Now women understand frump and they don't like being frumpy. Tell a mature woman to dress her age and you just pissed off half the women in America because you mentioned two things that women get insulted about fast. Age and being told how to dress. Do you have a death wish? Most women in the workplace spend a lot of money on their clothes, they dress depending on their mood a lot of times and they like compliments like, "You look very nice today". Unless of course they are red eyed femminists who get pissed off if a male co worker does't drop his eyes and take two steps back before he says , "Good Morning". Oh and by the way, as a writer you might want to take a look at that one sentence where your grammar went off the rails a bit. I think it is "had seen" and not "had saw". Now as to equality, i hope to heaven men and women are never treated as total equals. I can not imagine wanting to sit around, scratch my nether region and tell sports stories. Albeit i can empathize with the guys when they starting bitching about their last property settlement. Go figure, maybe it was the way i dressed. In line with that i might suggest that you focus writing sports anaolgies unless of course you think all women should dress alike in little uniforms, with sensible shoes and white little blouses. If this old gal dressed her age i would be wearing support hose and a mumu. So thanks for the advice but i think i will stay on the model track. My four to five inch heels will make a grown man cry and the animal print causes barking at the moon. Now all you guys go find some Kaki's and blue shirts. Buy five of each so you don't have to make a decision, nobody will know how old you are and the dress code thinks you are part of the janitorial crew. Topic: OT - MLB - Cardinals Get Their 2011 World Series Rings w/Memorable Critter as Bonus: /articles/186897-cardinals-add-rally-squirrel-to-world-series-rings By Josh Helmuth April 17, 2012 If you followed the Cardinals' unlikely, magical championship run last October, then you're well aware of the emergence of the rally squirrel; the furry little critter that not only appeared pre-game, but ran across home plate during a Roy Oswalt vs. Skip Schumaker face-off at the plate during the NLDS series.Because the Cardinals seemingly won every game in which their little bushy tailed friend made an appearance in-game, fans and players alike embraced their good luck charm. Signs of the rally squirrel were made by fans throughout the stadium, pitcher Octavio Dotel wore a stuffed version of their friend on his hat during the championship parade in downtown St. Louis, and even Topps' baseball card of Skip Schumaker features the squirrel hoping across home plate while the second baseman is at-bat, instead of featuring the second baseman himself (image below). Well now the rally squirrel is forever engraved into Cardinals folklore in their World Series rings -- rings that were also given out to fans in replica fashion this past weekend.You can see the furry guy wedged between the "STL" logo and the crest of the bats and home plate featuring Chris Carpenter's No. 29. But the uniqueness of the Cardinals' 2011 World Series rings doesn't stop there.On the inside of the ring, the words "Happy Flight" are engraved. The term was coined by shortstop Rafael Furcal around the time of the beginning of the playoffs because St. Louis had a knack for winning games in which they had an immediate flight out of town afterwards -- therefore, while boarding, they wanted to be in a good mood coming off a win, thus having a 'happy flight.'You can also see where there is detail on the inside of the ring where the logos of the Phillies, Brewers and Rangers are all engraved with the results from each series.
