Alan Greenspan has been geting a lot of the blame lately. How are you doing over there at the Federal Reserve?!?!? I hope to hear back from you.

freeze and yet credit is still frozen. In the U.S., banks are being told to lend AND to increase their reserves. Why?
CREDIT CARD DEBT....This issue is hardly discussed right now. The American media is too busy fretting over a 4.9 percent decline in holiday sales. As people lose their jobs, they struggle to pay bills. Unemployment insurance hardly covers a $100K (US) lifestyle. I am worried about a wave of credit card defaults that could drive down more banks. The U.S. Federal Reserve has used all their ammo to jump start the economy. Will President-Elect Obama's stimulus plan work? No one knows. And on that point is from whence my angst originates....
I have been accused of being a cynic on the current state of the U.S. economy. Not true. I am an optimist that has not arrived, to quote Mark Twain, I believe.
I hope President-Elect Obama can walk on water….…
for a wave of defaults on credit card debt in early 2009, and they are vying with each other to get paid first. Besides, the sooner people get their financial houses in order, the sooner they can start borrowing again." More here.

In regards to Twitter, I have yet to do this. I however do follow the 70, 20, 10 rule. Post 70% of the content as helpful to your followers, ex if you are an accountant, post items about tax saving loopholes, etc. I reserve the next 20% of content for commenting on relevant posts in my line of work by either forwarding or commenting on but always referencing back to the author. The last 10 is service related, "what am I selling" in my case it would be career opportunities for candidates.
Do you have any LinkedIn tips for the good of the RB community?
bout looking for jobs on a 4" screen?
I picture someone finding their way to the "job" via a link their friend might send....or an email from some sort of talent community, etc. While they may check it out on their phone - wouldn't they really want to get in front of their PC (or tablet) and take a more "focused" look at it? And take action from there?
If I were applying for a job I would NOT do it by typing a bunch of info in tiny little mobile boxes. Too many mistakes are possible. I would rather look at the job, decide my interest level, and then most likely reserve my "action" for my real work space.
Just thinking out loud.....it's an interesting topic.
At what point is mobile just a bit too "small"?…

ld. If you desired to trade your paper money in for the only bars better than chocolate, you could. There was a sense of value behind the bills in your wallet because they represented something considerably valuable.
The Gold Standard is all but extinct now. Paper money is backed by accounts payable or accounts receivable. But the symbolism is still there, hopefully. And with such symbols, a certain amount of respect is due. We have gold records - with sales of 500,000. We have gold medals, representing the best in the competition. We have gold rings that signify commitment to the one. The Gold Cup? The best soccer has to offer. The best in entertainment is celebrated by the Golden Globes. Gold has come to represent the best of the best with longstanding value behind it. Kind of like putting your money where your mouth is. Look past the symbolism and wrap your head around the idea that providing unsurpassed service or a superb product means more than just deserving a gold medal. It is done with intent and purpose, with the desire to be of the greatest value. In our daily work lives, when conducting business, is there opportunity for improvement or are you already giving 100% to clients and promising more to future clients? Is there that better way that 2nd century military leader, Hannibal spoke of? "I will either find a way, or make one." His words were used to inspire his army, but they can work for you. Find that better way. Backing your words and efforts with a promise is not the same as backing them with actions and knowledge. When you say you will deliver, do it. When you sell yourself as the best at your craft, be it. The standard you set must not only be deliverable, but also recognizable. What is your gold standard? Are you reserves tapped out? Or have you built your store to draw upon for years to come?
"If money is your hope for independence you will never have it. The only real security that a man will have in this world is a reserve of knowledge, experience, and ability." ~Henry Ford…
