Anyone can find and recruit workers; it's not rocket science so why should I have to pay for it

(The information contained in this blog will be more relevant to Tech staffing firms.)

"Anyone can find workers online; it's not rocket science so why should I have to pay for it."

Why Recruiters Get a Bad Rap (a cautionery tale)

A good friend of mine was laid off of his job of 10 years and is searching for new employment. He has a complete LinkedIn profile with contact info and resume (thanks to me) and is on Monster and CareerBuilder.

He got a call last week from a local recruiter at a niche staffing firm. On the phone the recruiter told him he had a ‘couple’ of jobs for him, and they arranged to meet. My friend has an interim job so he had to arrange time off to meet this…

Good afternoon Judi,
My name is Robb Osborne and I am a recruiter in the Philadelphia, PA area. I saw in your profile that you deal within the Marketing niche. The reason for my email is two fold one to connect and network with you but to also see if you could help a candidate of mine in the Philadelphia area.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Regards
Robb Osborne
