Wed March 16, 2011 is my 4th anniversary show.

I am personally asking you 4 tips 4 recruiters.

You can arrange to call your tip in - in which case you wd have to defend it --

Or you can just give it to me via the comments on this blog.

I will pass it on to the callers and we will discuss it on our own.

Never forget that you are providing a service that the customer needs.

Always use your own contract, it is your service.

Always insist on a hiring plan, not their way, but your way. It is your service.

Don't agree to exclude candidates that 'are already in their database' unless you are shown the database.

Don't forget that everyone needs you. Everyone is lying to you. Nobody is thinking about the placement but you.

When you feel the worst, make 10 calls. Even if you have to puke first, make 10 calls.

Just because you have an interview, doesn't mean you have a hire.

Keep setting up interviews, something good will happen.

Don't roll over for low fees.  You work hard, your efforts are worth every penny. Lowering your fee is not the way to get business.

Decide who you are.  Then stick to it.
