I wanted to put it out there that the day may come when Recruiting.com
(the company) sells the domain name Recruiting.com. From my perspective as a guy who has done pretty well in the domain name industry
, that domain name is the one to own if you had a choice. Maybe Jobs.com
but that name is not going any where anytime soon.
I owned Recruiting.com once and I did ok with it. I sold it to what was then called Jobster in 2006 and never really looked back. Well, maybe a little
but not too much. Since 2006, I have done a lot of things
in the recruiting industry. The thing that has kept me most busy since then is a website for Recruiters and HR professionals called RecruitingBlogs.com
and the constant buying and selling of what I consider to be some very good domain names
in the recruiting industry.
The day is going to come when the company currently known as Recruiting.com is going to look to sell ... I am sure they would sell it today if someone were in a position to buy it. It’s worth a lot of money and I don’t think it will ever be sold at a discount so it is what I consider to be a potential end user sale if ever there is a sale. No one who invests in domain names will buy it hoping to sell it at a profit one day. I don’t think the money men who own it will ever “have” to sell it.
This brings me to the point of this post. The point of the post is that I wanted to let whoever out there know that if you ever consider or are considering buying the domain name Recruiting.com, my organization-- which owns RecruitingBlogs.com, millions of dollars in domain names, an events business, and many very popular recruiting related blogs and ecommerce sites-- would be interested in discussing a partnership of any kind - kind of like an invitation to a discussion.
I have a couple of ideas.
