Last week was the ERE conference in Washington DC. It was a real success and people had fun. One of the things that has become a
regular occurrence is the charity poker event. Over 10K was raised for the ERE Foundation and I am honored to have been a part of it.
Hats off to Dave Manaster who every single time we do this, pays for the entire event from his ERE pocket so that all of the money
collected goes to the foundation. He deserves a real pat on the back.
The tournament took six hours from start to finish. It was long and ended at 3 am. I of feel kind of bad (but not really) for Gerry
Crispin because no matter how hard he tries, he can’t seem to win. I don’t even think that his desire to win is as strong as his need to beat me. Well. It didn’t happen.
I want to thank the following companies for their continued support:
JobTarget
ZoomInfo
Diversity.com
JobCentral
HotJobs
TheLadders
Monster
SearchWizards
Diversity.com
ERE Media
The great thing is that there were a number of companies that said to me after that they wished they would have known about it. Next
time, in San Diego it will be bigger.
It was a great time, and to be part of something like this really makes for a warm fuzzy feeling all over.
Thanks again to everyone involved and of course if you want information on how you can participate next time, let me know.
