I have to give a shameless plug, my company ADP that I wholeheartedly love and recruit for has still the best Staffing & Recruiting training in the Business through AIRS and the The Right Thing.  ADP also touts the following strengths across the board of the HR world:

  • Largest Payroll Provider in the United States, North America, Europe, Latin America and The Pacific Rim.
  • Electronically Moved 1.4 Trillion in client Tax, Direct Deposit, and Related Client Funds in Fiscal 2013.
  • Processed 51 Million Forms W2 in 2013.
  • One of only 4 AAA rated companies by both S&P, and Moody's.
  • Paid 1 in 6 American workers in the past year.

AIRS Training offers the following Certifications which still hold the expertise and strength in industry:

  • CIR - Certified Internet Recruiter
  • PRC - Professional Recruiter Certification
  • ACIR - Advanced Certified Internet Recruiter
  • CDR - Certified Diversity Recruiter
  • CSSR - Certified Social Sourcing Recruiter
  • CSMR - Certified Social Media Recruiter
  • ECRE - Elite Certified Recruitment Expert

Each of these courses is powerful and I feel that they are worth the investment - if you have privilege to take the training the following will be sharpened in your arsenal:

  1. Diversity Recruiting Skills - Keywords, knowledge, Social Media Sites related to Diversity, Military Hiring, and other efforts related to enhancing a diverse workforce.
  2. Social Media Recruiting - knowledge of the advanced techniques, deep web searches, etc.
  3. Operations of advanced Internet Recruiting techniques.
  4. Boolean knowledge - emerging ways to find the best talent, and hidden talent across the web.
  5. The key skills of recruitment and steps to find key professionals with passive talent.
  6. The emerging social media websites and more key skills that advance your viability as a recruiter and help you find talent faster than your competitors.

In my year and a half with ADP - as a new year dawns getting a few of these key certifications has been a blessing to my career.  While some places may say they have the corner on the niche recruiting skills, one company who started the trend still leads the way - and that is AIRS Training.  And now backed up by ADP - there is no stopping this powerhouse from leading the way in years to come.

Still the best in HR, still the best in recruiting outsourcing, and still the leader AIRS in staffing training hands down.  Having taken these courses and seen their value I can attest to their ability to help me become a better recruiter.  I have seen my time to fill go down as a net result.  Finding the passive and elusive candidates is still the key to a successful recruiting venture and attracting these candidates to your team.

Good for you being proud of your company.  I am going to disagree with you though. The courses offered are mostly fluff.  I took the CSSR course and was totally dissatisfied. The instructor was rushed and unprofessional. There was nothing NEW or FRESH in what was discussed. I was not PRIVILEGED as you put it to take the course. I learned nothing that I could not have gotten for free from any of the search engines. AIRS seems to take advantage of newer recruiters with flash over substance.

Derdiver - everyone for sure has an experience and an opinion all of which to me are valuable.  Thanks for your thoughts.  My experience however was completely opposite.  It was insightful, professional and had plenty of cutting edge information.  Irregardless, I'd take an industry thought proven leader any day over an unproven training option.  To me - these courses were VERY valuable and enhanced my process and efficiency.  Sorry you had a bad experience.

I think important to point out other great certifications that Dean Da Costa shared so well here: http://www.recruitingblogs.com/profiles/blogs/certs-certs-and-more-...

Irina, Shally and others I have also surely benefited from.  Now to specific trainings from AIRS - any further opportunity I will direct to www.airsdirectory.com and let the marketplace dictate what folks believe works best for them.  Remember, I gave the caveat that this was a "shameless plug", but I want to readily acknowledge some other great trainings out there.  Mine is my own opinion but I have such great respect for some great tools at SourceCon, Shally, Irina and others have too.
