The first Keynote was Bryan Chaney-Weird Science: Turning Talent attraction into Sourcing Success. Now for me when I saw Weird Science the move from the 70s came to mind. Obviously that is not the same thing but it did bring a smile to my face.
So Bryan started of with the career Decision Making Process.
Step 1-considering a change
Step 2-consder your company
Step 3-Consider a position
Step 4-Apply
Step 5-Commit to the Process
Step 6-Accept the Offer
Step 7-Apear at new job
Seems simple enough and makes sense. The next thing was trust. He showed the Deleman trust chart and needless to say people trust tech experts, and peers way more than managers. He went on to talk about what makes your work environment unique and fun, The idea is to use that to help market your company to candidates. When messaging someone use these things, use things that get you excited.
The Major Take Aways:
Timeline Management-Communication and relationship focus
Custom Content-base don region, department, and channel
Ask the Employees-Use their words(a day in the life), Relatable content
Get Visual=Use Photographs, Infographs, Videos, and memes.
In other words make it about the candidate and be real. You can view Bryans session on the 2 links below
