First Day of work after New Year; I'm lovin it!

We all have some desires, goals, wishes whatever you say, that we keep postponing for another time, day, year or any contingent happening. But when that day comes, Are we able to justify it by our attempts or our longing for results that we wish to seek? How you pursuit them, what all steps you take to ensure you’re following the right path and at the end you’ll get it matters most to you. With questions like these, my post tries to touch those beats and wants to convey same message. How it feels working on the first day of work after New Year? I know rather it would be awesome if holidays could be extended. Believe me there must be a point in our work span when we have wished working from home but then later we decided not to miss the social life waiting out for us in offices. I like working from office prior than home and respect difference of opinion here. So take it easy.

Not wanting a debate on work from Home V/s Regular office, let us take the topic further. First day of work, yes if I see in the New Year, it’s my first day. We’ll make resolutions, changes in routines, preferences and definitely see a better person in resolutions. So how do I start, what should I pursue and is this what I want? Believe me these questions are just there to make you afraid of greatness waiting for you. So if you can make a start, you can probably stretch it and if you can stretch it, you deserve this place because you came here all by yourself. See things started working from here and it’s no more a first day and already I’m getting closer to my goals. Visualizing and having self talks like these works. So take charge today and change something for better, because you own your words nobody else.

For people who want some ideas, I’ll be creating some goals that fit in office space very well. Here are they:

  1. Reaching office a bit early then I use to come.
  2. Improving my public speaking skills especially in meetings, able to express myself in a better way.
  3. Keeping my desk uncluttered throughout the year which helps me find things when I need most.
  4. Meeting deadlines & targets even though a challenge but this year is mine.
  5. Be good at networking & focus on overall growth amongst my peers & others concerned.
  6. Managing my temper & try to be receptive to new ideas, getting mentored and improving my mentoring abilities.

Finally, eating healthy at workplace and good-bye to over munching on breaks.
