How to source on the lesser known sites!! OkCupid

OkCupid is an American-based international operating free online dating, friendship, and social

networking website that features member-created quizzes and multiple-choice questions.

Now OKCupid is not well known in the staffing world. And not a lot of recruiters try to source there . The reason is simple they do not know how. Well to do this without worry you need go no further than into your bag of tricks and pull out an old tried and true tool, called x-raying.

So to source within OkCupiud you simply need to create an x-ray string, like the one below.

site:okcupid.com “London, United” lawyer OR barrister OR solicitor

If you run the strings above in google you will get the results below.

Comment by Matt O'Donnell on January 25, 2017 at 10:41am: This has been one of my go-to's for the last few years along with Plenty of Fish. Both are really easy to site scrape. Because a lot of people use the same username for everything, you can search the OKCupid username to try and find a Twitter, Instagram, or any other social media site to get a full name.
