Luck in Staffing!!

As we all know there is a great deal of skill, experience and dedication in being a great staffing professional. What some us may not realize is there is also a great deal of luck. How many times have we been banging our heads against the wall looking for a particular candidate with a specific skill, only one day to have them appear seemingly out of no were. That is the luck of staffing, that great staffing professionals have.

Of course unlike others we tend to make our own luck, and these candidates that “fall” into our laps, are a by-product of past hard work, great relationships, being honest, ethical, etc. The whole what goes around, come around thing. Of course there is that other kind of luck that we just cannot explain, and yes, we staffing professional have that too and it has helped us on more than one occasion.  

However for the most part it is that first kind of luck we get. You have all heard the phrase “we make our own luck”, well it is never more true than for staffing professionals. So be sure you are making your own luck, you never know when you will need it.
