Post Sourcecon Fall 2017 PT6

In part 5 of my Sourcecon posts we will discuss the things that came from the Purple Squirrel Track.

First up is Finding the Human inside your Client by Jeff Newman. The basics of this presentation is to get to know your hiring managers, both on a personal level and professional as it will make it easier for you to communicate, and get things done.

 

Next up came Sourcing on a Dime by Alicia Prisleac. The point behind this one was ways and places you can search without paying or paying very little. Sites mentioned NABG, Colleges, Alumnis, Industry Associations, Events, and Conferences. All of these things are free.

 

Todd Davis spoke about Putting the Fun back unto Sourcing Fundamentals. He talks about having a plan before you start sourcing. TOOLS; Trello, Todolist, Web Clipper for Trello, Facebook, Hiretual, Intelligence search’s Facebook search, Google, CSE, LeadIQ, and Lusha.

 

Sarah Goldberg spoke about Sourcing Tools 101: Back to the Strategy. She explains what a sourcing strategy is which is the plan you have for how you will find what you are looking for. TOOLS: Charlie, Glassdoor, Payscale, Textio, Careerbuilder, Owler, Google, Linkedin, Engage Talent, Recruit’em, Sourcehub, Bool, Hiretual, Social List, Entelo, TalentBin, JP, Aevy, Hiring Solved, Connectifier, JobJet, Prophet, Contactout, Lusha, Mightytext, Textus, Beamery, Hubspot, Get Talent, Smashfly, Mixmax, You can Book me, Calendly, Zoho, Krut, Greenhouse, Level, Bullhorn, Onetab, Zapier, and IFTTT.

 

Teresa Colquitt spoke about Increase Response Rate by Using Gifs/Memes and Yesware, So the idea behind this is to use GIFs, and Memes to increase open rates of your emails and using Yesware to keep track of open rates.
