QR the Bar code of Staffing, Recruiting, and HR!!

QR code stand for Quick response code.  It is basically a bar code that can quickly allow smart phones or any mobile device that has the application to provide quick easy access to anything on the internet.

This is fast becoming the new thing to put on resumes, business cards etc.

What it does is to easily allow someone to download your contact info, and other pieces of information into their phone and eventually into ATS and HRIS systems.

You can easily create a QR code for any URL on the web. Some places you can go to do this for free are: Jumpscan, Delivr, and Quikqr.

So how else can we use QR codes. Well the possibilities are endless;

Posting jobs by QR- You can make custom codes for different positions. The thing is using a QR code will allow you to provide allot of information but take up a small amount of space and since we are dealing with mobile technology allot it will be allot easier when dealing with candidates who live in the mobile world.

Tacking and Analytics- Well QR codes cannot only be made quickly, and free, but they are 100% trackable.

Talent communities and funneling. A QR code can make it easier for people to find and join communities. ATT already use it like this.

The biggest thing is dissemination of information a QR code can quickly and easily provide allot of information quickly and easily.
