Have you heard of Cloud Recruiting? What is it exactly?
Virtualization…Access On Demand. Cloud Recruiting is based off of Cloud Computing. Cloud Computing, in the simple form, is the ability to access everything in one location. For those of you that are familiar with SalesForce.com, think of the possibility of adding GoogleWave on top of SalesForce.com and what that could mean. Seems pretty cool, right? For those of you that are unfamiliar with SalesForce.com and GoogleWave, think of the social components you might already be working with like TweetDeck, HootSuite, Plaxo or FriendFeed.
You have probably heard of Cloud Recruiting by now, but what does it mean for us as recruiters? It means convenience, mobilization and ability to interact with candidates in a seamless way helping to avoid social networking fatigue. For a candidate, it might be the ability to apply for a position with ease anytime, anywhere, on any device in a consistent, easy to follow process.
As recruiting starts to shift attention from the transactional to building relationships, it becomes more apparent that we as recruiters need integrated technologies to help us manage our time and connections effectively. The technology is available, so what are we going to do about it?
