Sourcecon 2013: Driving the ship – Leading and Managing a Military Veteran Sourcing Program

The first session I attended was on managing a veteran sourcing program by Dan Piontkowski. In this session he went over a lot of great information about Vet sourcing programs.

He specifically made it clear you need the right people doing it and it is essential that the recruiters and sourcers are educated about Vets, Mainly about understanding them, their terminology, their jobs, and what those really mean.

Most of what he talked about was informative, and got you thinking. Not a lot of big take aways, like tricks and tools.But he made it clear you cannot source for veterans without understanding them.
